Boredom

Jeffrey W. Hamilton

The child has a room full of action figures, video games, cable TV, DVD player, a huge collection of movies, every piece of sports equipment known to man, his own telephone, a fully loaded computer with high-speed Internet access … but he doesn’t have a thing to do. He’s bored.

Was Jesus a Vegetarian?

Jeffrey W. Hamilton

On March 17, 1999 reprinted a hilarious article by Bill Broadway of the Washington Post. It seems the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have launched a campaign to claim that Jesus was a vegetarian. Billboards stating “Jesus was a vegetarian. Show respect for God’s creatures - follow Him.” are being placed around the country.

Animal Rights and the Bible

Darryl G. Treat
(With special thanks to Jeff Hamilton and Dana Treat)

Is it morally wrong to hunt, kill and eat animals?  Do you or someone you know believe that it is?  Some animal rights activists have even made the claim that Jesus was a vegetarian, and in order to show respect for God’s creatures, we should follow His example.  Well, they’re not the first to misuse Bible scripture to push an agenda, and certainly won’t be the last.  As a Christian, it’s up to me to examine the Bible to see if my actions are morally acceptable by God’s standards.

Teresa Neumann (June 30, 2008)

leonalee(Photo: North News and Pictures Ltd.) “When we went back to the hospital and they said the baby was alive we just broke down. We couldn’t believe it. I would say to people, ‘Don’t give up, get a second opinion.”‘

(United Kingdom)—The Daily Mail has published a report about a woman who was told her baby was dead when she sent to the hospital after exhibiting symptoms of a miscarriage. After an ultrasound showed no signs of life, doctors gave her the option of “removing” the baby, speeding up the miscarriage with pills, or going home and miscarrying “naturally.”
