Give Her of the Fruit of Her Hands
Proverbs 31: “Give Her of the Fruit of Her Hands” Ina Manly Painter
Proverbs 31:1-9 gives us, by divine inspiration, a window into the affectionate instruction of a godly mother. This solemn tenderness is a bold antithesis between righteousness and unrighteousness and a godly example for all ages. We suspect that this mother’s instruction may have been a near picture of herself; however, this chapter in its entirety is most assuredly a mirror for Christian women and a blueprint for every Christian man in the selection of a wife.

Society: In spite of the diversity and mutual exclusiveness between the numerous people groups and castes, the social life offers unusual freedom to all. People from all backgrounds freely interact with each other in educational institutions, business establishments, and government offices. Mass public transportation brings all people together without segregation. This harmony within diversity is highly helpful in approaching the Indians with the teachings of Christ, based upon the love of God.

Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace
By Jithvi Justin Ninan
Without a backward glance I’d fled
The things of yesterday
But now my present I so dread;
From guilt there’s no running away.
My brother’s blessing I did steal
Without a second thought,
Its consequences strongly feel,
Banished to this fated spot.
Satan Worship Rising in Mizoram
Mizoram, the Indian state where most of the population are Christians, is witnessing alarming growth of Satan worshipers. Several incidents of burnt Bibles, vandalized churches and defiled cemeteries are reported from here. Few months ago some youths were caught filming semi-nude inside a non-functional church on the outskirts of Aizawl, the capital city. According to a survey conducted by a local weekly, more than hundred Satan worshipers are found in the state. It has been proved often that when people choose to resist the truth of the word of God they are forced to follow the false hood of devil. (gracepeaceu@yahoo.com)
The New Age Movement
The New Age Movement By Dr. Johnson C. Philip & Dr. Saneesh Cherian: New Age” is a term seen frequently in personality-development books and magazines these days. They claim that we are in an age when humans can take total control of their bodies and minds. Contrary to what the name suggests, the New Age Movement is a very ancient Cult, and they claim it to be “New” only to deceive people. Plenty of Christians have become spokesmen and agents of this movement without realizing it for what it is. The New Age Movement has its origin in Satan who promised to Eve that by eating the forbidden fruit, she would become “like God”. Realizing this promise is the basic promise and quest of this movement.
The pursuit to become like God became an organized movement with Nimrod and the Tower of Babel. There one observes the seeds of the first one-world religion and government, both contrary to the course of human history as decreed by God. Consequently, God dispersed this movement. Yet Satan, the architect of this movement, continued in his struggle to raise up another all-world religious and political union. The story that unfolded in the millennia that followed is quite complex, but what one needs to know took place only in about one century.
The High Cost Of Reformation
The High Cost Of Reformation By Dr. Johnson C. Philip
We stand at a turning point of history today. Several historical events and movements have completed a significant amount of time in history. It is now time to take notice of what all we have achieved and what all we have lost. An awakening is an immediate need.
The historic Protestant Movement has completed five centuries of existance and growth. The New Testament pattern assemblies known as the Brethren have completed a century in India. Both the movements brought freedom from spiritual bondage and tyranny. The Protestant movement brought freedom, and the assembly movement brought an unparalleled era of diligent Bible studies. If spiritual momentum is to continue, we must once again capture the essence of both these movement.
India: An Introduction — 1
India: An Introduction By Dr. Johnson C. Philip
India is a great country and is totally different from any other nation in the world. It is world’s second most populous country teaming with over 1050 million people. It is one nation in name, but it is also an agglomeration of nations. It is many countries in a harmonious one, and one country with a cacophony of many countries.
The Indus region has always been a fertile, technologically advanced, and highly literate region of the world. It is mentioned twice in the book of Esther, and was known to the Jews a thousand years before that and many kings in the Bible presumably had business links that extended via sea up to India. The abundance of rivers and fertile land made people in Indus region to spread around and settle everywhere. Gradually these settlements developed into autonomous kingdoms each with their own language, culture and custom. Eventually even these multiplied within individual kingdoms into many more sub-languages and subcultures.
Who Is An Authority?
Who Is An Authority, Jay N. Forrest
“Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine” (1 Timothy 5:17).
Not all options are created equal. It is unfortunate that many do not realize this. One opinion is not just as good as another’s. There are some who think that they are an expert just because they did a little study in the Scriptures. It is amazing the arrogance that some people have concerning their own opinion. They act as if they were infallible popes. A little knowledge puffs up, but a great wealth of knowledge leads one to humility. For the larger one’s pool of knowledge, the greater one’s shores of ignorance.
Dehumanization: The Humanistic Agenda
Dehumanization: The Humanistic Agenda, P. Andrew Sandlin
Humanism has been around since Genesis 3. It is the belief that there is no God or, better yet, that man himself is a god. The temptation of the serpent to Eve was simple: If you establish your own moral standards, and act on them, you can be as God (Gen. 3:5). The history of depraved man is the history of an unending quest for an ever more consistent humanism. From the ancient world empires - Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Rome - to the Italian Renaissance to the European Enlightenment to Romanticism and finally to today’s “postmodernism,” man’s root sin is humanism - the desire to be his own god.
