His parents Lisa and Jack had been through four rounds of in vitro fertilization trying to make him. They created (and later destroyed) 12 other embryos before selecting Adam, a perfect genetic match for his sister Molly.

Sankeshwar is a small town in Karnataka. The 20-Bed Mission Hospital is one of the 7 assembly-related Hospitals in India. Dr. Anand Philip from CMC Vellore serves as the Medical Officer at present. Diabetes is fast becoming the latest epidemic affecting India, with rapid urbanization and wide spread change in the eating habits and work of a large part of the population, it no longer can be called the rich man’s disease. (United Kingdom)—A month before MPs in the UK are scheduled to debate the future of "hybrid" embryonic research, scientists have managed to put together a part-human, part-animal embryo. Professors from Newcastle, where the research was conducted, insist the work is necessary to produce treatments for diseases, and that the hybrid "embryos would never be implanted into anyone."

A new Colorado law is helping homosexual activists achieve their goal of forcing Christians to teach biblical condemnation of homosexuality only behind the closed doors of their sanctuaries. The as-yet untested state law promotes sexual identity “perception” to the level of skin color under state discrimination laws.
Some opponents are calling it a “bona fide censorship law,” and top analysts for Focus on the Family, the Christian publishing and broadcast powerhouse, are expressing concern over the “mischief” they expect to follow the signing by Gov. Bill Ritter.
“Who would have believed that the Colorado state legislature and its governor would have made it fully legal for men to enter and use women’s restrooms and locker-room facilities without notice or explanation?” said James Dobson, founder of Focus. “Henceforth, every woman and little girl will have to fear that a predator, bisexual, cross-dresser or even a homosexual or heterosexual male might walk in and relieve himself in their presence,” Dobson said. Ultrasound Shows Baby was Dead, But The Child Was Alive

(United Kingdom)—The Daily Mail has published a report about a woman who was told her baby was dead when she sent to the hospital after exhibiting symptoms of a miscarriage. After an ultrasound showed no signs of life, doctors gave her the option of “removing” the baby, speeding up the miscarriage with pills, or going home and miscarrying “naturally.”
