Brethren: The Increasing Rebellion
The number of young people who wish to call themselves Brethren, but who would prefer to reject the ideals and doctrines for which the Brethren stand, is on the increase.
There are several streams of people who want the identity but not the ideals or doctrines. One of them is a group of young people schooled in all the wisdom of this world and its philosophies. They vouch by the Bible and Jesus Christ but it is a postmodernist Bible and Christ, which is none other than the Hindu (Vedanti) interpretation of the Bible and Christ.
Unfortunately, very leaders of the assemblies have understood this change. Worse, as these young people become increasingly vociferous, the leadership does not understand how to tackle them. The words these postmodern young brethren use is so loaded with sweetness that what lies under it goes unnoticed. Thus they are able to seduce an increasing number of young people to their fold. Unless steps are taken now, their influence will become irreversible soon.

It is very easy to put the blame on others without looking into one’s life. If one examines himself in the Light of His Word, and then each one would realise what the Lord Jesus Christ had said about the Pharisees “white tomb stones”. The reason why the young people leave the Brethren Assemblies is because they witness the hypocrisy in the life of the believers.
Let me ask these few questions:
Has the church leadership felt burdened about the same? Have they spent time in prayer for that young brother or sister? Have they examined their lives in the light of the Word of God? Paul says that we are the “Epistles of Christ”. If older generation do not live a Spirit controlled life, how would the young ones follow the Spirit controlled life? Most of us have modern amenities in life, live in luxury & do as one pleases in Church; then expect others to follow Christ. THIS IS HYPOCRISY..
The believers themselves by the unholy life negate the work of the Holy Spirit in an unbeliever.
Arise, watch & pray… lest we be found wanting..

Regarding the article it seems to be much ado about nothing. The human heart is wicked above all things. Every generation is born into sin and needs the saving grace of Jesus. So what they call themselves brethren. seems to me you should be flattered by it. Culture moves on and we need to move on and be relevant to every generation born on earth. Dont condemn what is but see every situation as another oportunity to God at work in His creation. Bless you as you all seek after Him for this day
Brethern church members are spiritual,loyal to the Lord.Leadership lacks commitment and responsiblity,not bothered to win others.With present times church needs to adopt technologies and environment for eg.My father went to village school studing malayalam but we send our children to english schools,used to wear mundu but i don’t wear it.Similarly as a church we need to adopt some changes..like good music,evangelist submitting report of the work he does,how many he won for christ…irresponsibity corrupts,fasting,seek anoitment from God,Whole night prayers,church producing matyrs…Brother can you tell me how many of our evangelist are encouraging their children to go to Bible College..not even 2%…unless we change..young people would leave the church…lets have a lively worship…not a funeral service..our lord is risen from the dead..so lets celebrate…music is from God..lets adopt it.
